After lecture, I head to a computer lab to print my notes. What interesting was this.
Did you have a close look? Not the activity graph but what's below that. Aussies are so environmentally friendly, so they even tell you the impact you are making to the environment. I was pretty much amuse.
I head down to the city after printing my notes. Its a really hot day, its like 33 degrees and Sunday and Monday makes me feel that I'm in Singapore. But seeing a new city brings me back to reality. I was hunting for agency to plan a trip to Cairns (Great Barrier Reef) during the Easter break (21st - 30th Mar).
My list to do there is:
- Dive in Great Barrier Reef.
- White water rafting.
- Sky Dive.
But guess its the Easter break, the price is pretty steep. It is going to cost me abt $1500 for Air tix, accommodation and the activities. I'm still pretty much considering as I do not have much $$$ with me, now due to the exchange rate. I'm pretty much lost, but I've to make a decision by this week, else its not going to happen at all as everyone is heading there. I'm also pretty excited about it as I'm stepping out of my comfortable zone to try something different.
As its still pretty early, I headed down to "Aldi", its a supermarket that I mentioned earlier that doesn't give out plastic bags or carrier. I didn't bring a bag along. Ohhh NO ! ! !
But I pretty in luck, as I saw a empty box and I used that as my shopping bag. Things are pretty cheap in this supermarket. Look @ the stuff I bought, all this just for $11.24.
Breakdown of stuff I bought:
- Toilet rolls (pack of 6 rolls)
- Air Freshener
- Napkins ( as its cheaper than tissues)
- Pork sausages (for dinner and could last for a few days)
- Hot dog rolls (6)
- Ketchup
I happily carried the box with all my stuff home to cook dinner. heehee... I doing my part for the environment as well. But dinner didn't turned out well, the sausages taste quite awful, think its becos they were meant to be BBQ and not boiled. Ate 2 hot dogs and its really filling.
Headed for discussion meeting, during the meeting the discussion topic is on "Happiness". We had a round of introduction together with this qns "What make you happy?". As my feet were numb, I could move to the side and a circle had already formed around me. So just what? I was shot to be the first. I gave a pretty bad answer ( sleeping makes me happy) as there isn't time to think abt it, but its ok. Just make me look a little bad. haha... But during the discussion, all go back to the same topic of having a mission in life and how you break through and move closer to you goal, makes you happy. This is exactly what "Human Revolution" means...
After discussion, I had the chance to meet Genevie ( Auntie Fong Peng's daughter). I spoke to her during Chinese New Year as I was looking for accommodation, despite our parents know each other for so long, this is my first time meeting her. And last week, was my first meeting her sister, Annabelle (hope I got the name spelled right. We didn't meet in Singapore but in Melbourne instead. How mystical life is... And the joke was she asked Thomas for help to look for accommodation for me, and Jian Wen (Liling's brother) also ask Thomas to do the same thing. Its such a small world. So 3 of us, together with Andy (a member I met last week too) went for dinner.
