I pretty much spent most of my morning writing blog and meeting Choo Kiat to walk around the campus for 2 reasons.
1) To look for free food. As its the clubs and society day, there's alot of food up for grab. As CK and myself are on a tight budget, we would want to save as much as we can, especially the food here is really expensive.
2) Look of clubs to join. This is something I didn't do back in NUS. After walking around, I joined tennis (waiting for the coach to inform me the time and day) and water-polo (first training on 10th Mar, South Bank). I'm going to take up tennis lessons; this is something I wanted to do long time ago. Joining back polo, is to experience how unfit I am now... Looking forward to both of them.
In the late afternoon, 4pm, I went for another orientation program called "Beg, Borrow, Steal". Basically it’s like amazing race but it’s just around the campus. There are 14 missions for us to complete, all are located in different parts of the school. This is a very useful session as this game highlighted the facilities that a student would need to know. i.e. the opening hrs of the student medical centre, what are the banks located in the campus and "steal" a brochures, how much can we apply for financial aid. We have to look for the different department in the campus and look the ans. So there are many things that we need to either "Beg, Borrow, or Steal" to complete this game.
