My Accounting Prof made my day.

I was looking for referees for my application to Jardines and had approach 2 Prof who I have close interaction with. 

This is my email to my accounting Prof:

Hi Prof M,

I'll be graduating in December 2009 and would hope that you can be my referee for my current job application. I would like you to be my referee as you have seen my working ability during your lectures and consultations we had during last semester when I was reading MPC.

I would like to discuss this matter with you in person, are you available this week?

This was his reply:

Hi, Yanguang:

Yes, I will be glad to be your referee. You don’t need to see me. But if you need to see me for other matters, I will be glad to meet with you.

Don’t worry, I have a fine impression of you. I will give you a strong endorsement if and when the occasion arises.

(I remove his name as I feel that its not polite.)

His response is definitely very positive. Thou I did not do very well for his module, but I believe that my effort and attitude towards learning has left him with a good impression. This is another example that results is not everything, it is the process that matters (my character and capacity that will get me the distance.)

Some may think that I am over reacting, but for Prof M to say such words to me is something I would not have expected.

Truly delighted and over the moon.

This is the concrete proof that I know I am heading the right direction and I must strive even harder to ensure my desire results will actualised.
